Although we are still 3 years away from our 10 year reunion, Winifred and I would like to get the ball rolling on the ideas and activities that should be planned. Timothy Cyphers
Hi everyone. Like so many
feel yes it has been close to eight years and that seem just like
yesterday for graduation day or even some of our memories seem like
yesterday but in reality it's not. I would like for everyone to know I
am doing good, working two jobs, have a two year old son, just moved
into a house in Portsmouth, Va and living life to the fullest. I still
run into a few people from Deep Creek every now and then but not to
many. So those who like to get at me email me

everyone there.
Martine Barco
I recently work at RBC Centura in Downtown Norfolk
as a Teller and live in Chesapeake. I have 4 beautiful children and 2
of them are twin boys. I married Darryl E. Thornton of Chesapeake on
December 1, 2001. I am so very anxious to hear from anyone and see how
they are doing.
Lawanda Massenburg Thornton
I am working at Depaul
Medical Center. Which I love because helping others is what I always
wanted to do. I am currently in nursing school and doing well. I am
dating Christopher Zelinsky from our class. We live in Deep Creek
and have four children between us. I miss all of my friends, and look
forward to seeing or hearing from you again. Feel free to contact me and
catch up.
Linda Howe
On August 14, 2006, my
husband and I welcomed our first son Hunter William Bennett into the
world at 7lbs 7oz and 19.5 inches long. He is now almost 10 months old
and growing like a weed. I am still working as a Kindergarten teacher
in Chesapeake and living in Norfolk.
Laurie Luoto Bennett
Working on becoming Gemologist. Expecting
my 2nd little girl in August 2007, we are going to name her Rayna Amrie. Breyan
will be 7 this year and is looking forward to being a big sister. Just enjoying
life right now, I hope everyone else is too. Ladies and
Gents! It has been a while. I hope everyone is doing well. Here
is a little update--> I graduated from James Madison University,
May 2004. Currently I am an IT Consultant for TEK Systems. We
are the largest consulting company in the country with over 90
offices and over 200,000 consultants. Things are going very well
professionally, as well as personally. I have been dating my better
half now for almost 5 years (yeah I know...long term
commitment...ha-ha). I met her at JMU and she currently resides
in Maryland where she is a Speech Pathologist. With both of us
being very career oriented it has been hard for us to settle in the
same state, but we are working on getting some land down around
these parts and getting hitched eventually. I would most definitely
like to catch up with everyone, so please email me. Heidi Christoffersen Ambrose (01) and I (00)
are proud to announce the birth of our son Ted Owen Ambrose, IV born on
November 30, 2005. He weighed in at a whopping 6lbs 0.5ozs. We are
currently living in the Oak Manor section of Deep Creek. I have been
with the Chesapeake Fire Department now for four years and Heidi
has been with Sentara for one year working as PET/CT Technologist in
their Radiation Oncology section. Thanks, I have been married now to Jeff Hansen of Virginia
Beach for about 3 years and we have two wonderful children Hunter James who
was just born on Oct 24, 2005 (weighed 7 lbs and 10 oz) and Noah Riley who
turned 2 on Oct 29th.
Shannon Grant
I am an Office Manager out of Norfolk. I
love what I do, and who I have become. I have a beautiful little girl named
Cheyanne Lorynn Sullivan, she will be 2 March 25, 2007. Hope everyone is doing
well for themselves, cant wait to see everyone again!
Christina Jones
I had Carley Marie on January 6th she was 7 pounds and 20 1/2 inches long. She
is now 2 months old and and she is 11 pounds 12 oz. She is 22 1/4 inches long.
She is doing so well.

Tananda White (Burden)
I have been happily married for five years and have
an adorable 2 1/2 year old named Cameron Sean! My husband, Brandon, and I live
in a rural area of SW Virginia called Horsepasture. He is a youth minister and
I am getting my RN. We are very happy and love where we live, but I miss Deep
Creek and enjoy the rare visits home!

Hello to all my friends in Deep Creek!
Derek and I finally got married and now I am Mindy Johnson. I am working
on my Masters in Communication at the University of Wisconsin and am teaching
three classes of Com: 101 Introduction to Interpersonal Communication as well.
I love my job and my husband. But I miss all my friends from back home. I have
gotten in touch with some of you but I am always looking to reminisce with
anyone from the good old high school days. Hope all is well and keep in touch.

Gammon Reichelderfer (C/O02) are proud to announce the birth of their second
child a baby girl by the name of Brianna she weighed 6lbs and 15oz.
Paul Dockery
ENS Jeremy Saria recently graduated in
the top half of his class at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command
and is in training at Nuclear Prototype Training Unit Ballston Spa
near Saratoga Springs, NY, where he will complete his training as a
nuclear operator before being assigned as a Division Officer aboard
a submarine.
I graduated from ODU in December 2004. I have
been working at City of Chesapeake Public Works Department as a GIS
(Geographic Information Systems) Technician since February 2005. I
make and analyze maps for engineers, project managers and other city
officials (city council, city manager etc...).

I have been in the United States Coast Guard for
the Past 4 years and loving it I am now stationed in Portsmouth, VA and living
back in Deep Creek.

Things are going well for me. I am currently
employed at Map Communications (Chesapeake, Va). I am anxiously looking forward
to the 10 year reunion (that means we're all getting OLD). Me and my high school
sweetheart didn't work out, but I am currently engaged to be married. A date
isn't set at this time.

were married on July 15 at Western Branch Community Church in
Chesapeake. They will be residing in Blacksburg, Virginia for the next
year as Cheri finishes her Master's Degree in English.

Anthony Everett and Jessica Mason-Everett (C/O 2003) are pleased to
announce the birth of their 1st daughter Olivia Grace Everett on July 1, 2005!
Olivia was born 6 weeks early and is doing well at home with mom.

I am currently living in Midland, MI with my boyfriend
Jeremy and attending Saginaw Valley State University to finish my Elementary
Education degree. I would love to get in touch with old friends and

HELLO AND LET YOU KNOW WERE MY LIVE IS GOING. I AM LIVING IN NORTH CAROLINA, AND
HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE HERE. I AM SURROUNDED
BY CORN AND WHEAT FIELDS AND I LOVE IT. I HAVE ONE MORE SEMESTER TO GO AND I
WILL BE A RPN. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT ALL OVER WITH AND START DOING TO ACTUAL
WORK. IM CURRENTLY WORKING AT A FERTILIZER PLANT CALLED COASTAL AGRO BUSINESS -
A FARMERS DREAM! I AM ENGAGED TO A WONDERFUL MAN, WHOM IS MY SOUL MATE FOR MANY
REASONS! OVERALL I AM HAPPY AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR OUR 10 YEAR REUNION!

Mark Anthony Everett and Jessica Mason-Everett (Class of 2003) are
proud to announce that they are expecting a BABY GIRL in August of 2005!!
I am almost done with the undergraduate degree in Communication. (3.89
GPA!!!!) I am planning to begin teaching comm. at the college level in
two years. I will be attending University of WI for my Masters and
then I am looking into a doctoral degree a few years after the Masters.
I am coaching Middle school forensics, and own my own company.
It's called Wisdom Technologies, we teach seniors and adults how to
use computers. I love my company and things are really moving along.
I am now engaged & very very excited. His name
is Derek Johnson. He is the sweetest man I have ever met. We
have set the date and will be married on October 7th of 2006.
Over all life is going well. I am extremely busy but you may remember I have
always been busy.
I miss everyone and feel free to keep in touch. I love hearing about
how everyone is.

Jennifer Lounsbury was married to Michael J.
Heuneman on October 9,2004. They current own a home in the Hickory area of
Chesapeake. Jennifer currently works @ HSBC in Greenbrier.

Michael Copon
Rachael Moody married Michael Kramm of Va. Beach on May 17th,
2004. They currently are residing in Va. Beach.
After four years together Mark A. Everett and
Jessica M. Mason(Class of 2003) were married on July 24, 2004. They
honeymooned in Cancun. Jessica is at Old Dominion University and Mark
is working for UPS. They are living in Deep Creek.
Christal "Star" Trahan Perry
was married on 01/04/03. They have 2 children.
Pfc Nikia Johnson recently graduated from Army basic training @ Fort
Jackson, SC
Eric Spiegel graduated from Virginia Tech on May 14, 2004 with a Bachelor
of Science in Physics with minors in Astronomy, English, and Mathematics.
He will be attending the Graduate School at Virginia Tech, in the fall, to
pursue a Master's Degree in Physics. He will be working as a Graduate
Teaching Assistant. Cheri Lemieux (Class of 2001) and I are still
engaged and have set our wedding date to be July 15, 2005, in Chesapeake.
Congratulations to Julie-Anne
Tavernier on the birth of her son Kyle who weighed in @ 6lb9oz.
Matt Williams & Heather Mansfield(02)
are officially engaged and are planning to get married sometime after they both
graduate college.
Jayne Stephen married Matthew Baker in June, 2002. She is
currently residing in NC, and pursuing a degree in education.

Jason W. Hastings
CHESAPEAKE - Jason William Hastings, 25, returned to heaven Feb. 28,
2008. Jason passed with his beloved brother, Joshua Ryan Hastings, and the love
of his life and his fiancee, Theresa Turley. Born in Portsmouth, Jason graduated
with honors from Deep Creek High School, Class of 2000. He played soccer for 10
years followed by two years of coaching with the DC Community League. Jason
loyally managed Atlantis Games & Comics for three years. He is survived by his
parents, Douglas and Linda; brothers, Raif of Lorton, Va., Cody and Cory of
Chesapeake; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Jennings; along with many aunts,
uncles, cousins and nephew. Visitation will be today in Sturtevant Funeral Home,
Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m.
in Faith Alive Ministries, 423 Shell Road, Chesapeake, to be followed by burial
in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deep
Creek Ruritan Club, donations will be used to benefit Jason's passion of soccer
in the Deep Creek community.
