1979
*****CLASS NOTES*****
I've been married for 19 years to Ross Dickmann
(from Wisconsin, retired USCG). No kids, unless you count the
four-legged kind! We now live in Dripping Springs, TX, which is
near Austin. It's a rural area in the TX Hill Country and there are
all kinds of wildlife, which I love. I am a Physical Therapist,
specializing in treating the hand and upper extremity. We have
moved 7 times, never back to VA. I miss my old "Creek" friends and
love to hear from you!
Sharon Smith Dickmann
Married to my wife Jeanette Wojcik Critzer of
Los Angeles Ca. Have four children, Kim 25, Brian 24, Anthony 16,
and Kyle 14. Two grandchildren Anthony and Brian. Live in Western
Branch area of Chesapeake. I grew up in Woodland Terrace, and ran
around the good old streets of Camelot. I have been coaching rec.
league football in Western Branch for the last 5 years. I'm working
for a trucking company in Hampton Va.
Mike Critzer
I AM DIVORCED WITH 2 BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, BRITTANY &
LINDSAY I CARE FOR ELDERLY LADIES IN MY HOME 24/7 "RONDA'S LOVING CARE". I
STILL LIVE IN THE HOUSE I GREW UP IN ON GEORGE WASHINGTON HWY IN DEEP CREEK
WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM MY OLD BUDDIES FROM THE LAST CLASS THAT GRADUATED IN
THE OLD HIGH SCHOOL
RONDA BROUSSARD
I married Mike First (he did not attend DC, he grad from Portsmouth
Christian). He died July 2002 from accidental drowning (he knew alot of people
in Deep Creek). We have one son, Michael and he attends Grassfield Elementary.
Lois Caudell First
I am married to Mark Hamm & live in
OBX, but am “home” often…parents still alive and healthy in Deep Creek. We
have six children ranging from 4 – 24….plus 3 grandchildren! I have been a
hairstylist for 25 years, and currently own a cheer & dance gym in
Currituck. Life is good! Stop by when you’re in the OBX!
Pam Parker Hamm
It is great to be back in the "Creek" again. After 25 years away I am "Syked
Up" to come back as the principal of Deep Creek Middle School. Did you know that
two of our teachers, coach Babb and Mr. Eure, are still teaching at the school?
I live on the water in Portsmouth with my wife Kim and daughter Hannah. Stop by
the school and visit if you get a chance.
John Sykes
Moved back to Ohio, and currently live in Brimfield. Married 22 years to
the same person, and have two wonderful children: Ryan, 15 & Holly, 10. Worked
for PepsiAmericas for the past 20 years. Love to camp & boat.
Barbara A. Linsky Camp
I am married to Anita Fuller and we have two children, Tim and
Robin. I do sales and service work for Miller's Overhead Door. Would enjoy hearing
from fellow classmates.
John Miller
Hi, friends and classmates, it been a long time. I am living
in Louisburg, North Carolina now with my husband of 15 years Maylon and our
three children and one grandchild, Amanda, Ava, Tyler, and Victoria. I am the
Business System Manager for Voith Fabrics Inc. out of Raleigh, North Carolina. I
have been with Voith for 4 years managing a project team installing an ERP
software application across North America and Europe. I spend my private time
enjoying my family at home with our five horses and 3 dogs. I miss my friends
from Deep Creek, so email me and let me know what you have been up to.
Robin Hatcher Edwards
My
name is Ron Burton, but most of you knew me as Ronnie.
I attended Central Elementary and Deep Creek JHS and lived in Camelot
(lucky me).
My Dad was transferred back to Charleston, SC
over Thanksgiving of 1974, and finished junior high school in Summerville, SC
and graduated from Summerville High School in 1979.
I have been in touch with Pat Estes and Cheryl Hamilton since I found
this web site; in fact Cheryl came down to visit me late year.
I would like to get in touch with any of my classmates from Deep Creek JHS.
