Lee & I have been married for 27 years. We have 3 daughters, 2 "sons", a grandson that we adore and twin granddaughters due in August 2008. We're still living in SC and love it here! Would love to hear from some classmates!

I have lived in Lake Jackson Texas since Feb. 2006.  I work for BASF Corp. in Freeport Texas. Occupation ( Maintenance Coordinator - Superabsorbent Polymer Production Plant ). I lived all my life in Chesapeake until I transferred to Texas 1-1/2 years ago due to the BASF plant in Portsmouth closing down. I married the love of my life ( Joni ) from Pensacola Florida in 1979 and brought her back to Chesapeake where we lived until the transfer.  We Have 2 kids that live in Suffolk Va. - Angela 26 has graduated from Christopher Newport University and is teaching Algebra in Newport News ,  she was married shortly after Graduation from college. Matt 22 is attending Christopher Newport University where he has finished a fine career playing center for the football team and now works for the athletic department part time while attending college , he plans on teaching History and coaching football ,  he is engaged to be married after they both graduate from college.

October 23, 2005 - The son of the late Jayne Stephens Szwydek has died while serving with 2nd Marine Division/2nd Weapons Battalion in Iraq on Oct. 20, 2005. Lance Cpl. Lance Cpl. Steven Walter Szwydek, 20, formerly of Chesapeake, died while serving with the 2nd Marine Division/2nd Weapons Battalion in Iraq on Oct. 20, 2005. He was the son of Michael Szwydek and Nancy Craven Szwydek and the late Jayne Stephens Szwydek. Steven was born in Portsmouth and later lived in Warfordsburg, Pa. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by two brothers, Corey M. Szwydek and Greg Craven; one sister, Stephanie Craven Bard and her husband Scott all of Warfordsburg; grandparents, Merle and Betty Huffer; Aunt Debbie and Uncle Warren of Jefferson, Md.; Uncle Stan and Aunt LeeAnne Szwydek; godmother, Stacie Szwydek; Sherri Szwydek- Smith, Leanna Szwydek-O’Neil (godchild); Uncle Mark and Aunt Carol Stephens of Chesapeake; and numerous cousins. Grove Funeral Home in Hancock, Md., is handling scheduling and arrangements. There will be a viewing on Tuesday followed by visitation with the family at the funeral home. A funeral will be conducted at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, Pa., on Wednesday and final interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michael and Nancy Szwydek, c/o Marine Corps League at Fulton County National Bank and Trust, McConnellsburg, PA 17233. I moved back to the area from Michigan 5 years ago and reside in Suffolk. I've been married to Lynn Smith of Michigan for 22 years. We have 2 daughters, Kelly Michelle 28, and Amber Lynn 26. Kelly has 2 sons, Logan, 7 and Nathan, 2, the joys of my world. Amber is a registered nurse at Norfolk Sentara Hospital. My hub Lynn, is a real estate agent with Remaxx. I am officially retired and love it. My goal is to play in the World Poker Tournament before I leave this planet however, I realize that I have a greater chance of being struck by lightening. I now live in Greenville, NC.  I work @ East Carolina University where I'm also pursuing a master's in Instructional Technology. My three sons are grown....the oldest is married and lives in Asheville, NC. My middle son lives here in Greenville, has overcome cancer, and will be getting married in May to a real sweetheart.  My youngest son also lives in Greenville and is working on a degree in turf management...so he can play golf more. My schedule will probably not allow me to attend the reunion, but I did want to say hello and share my current information.   My best wishes to all,

Deborah Justice McCuiston

Just wanted to put my two cents in and see if anyone happens to remember me. I was definitely a geek in high school, a little better now. I actually quit school my junior year 1974, and received my GED the following year 1975. My name is Richard Respass, I grew up in Brentwood. My sister Mary Jane, brother Dennis, sisters Susan and Donna all went to Deep Creek. I am now 48, and live in a small mountain town 85 miles N.E. of Atlanta, Georgia called Ellijay. I am the Safety and Security Officer at a 150 bed hospital and nursing home, after spending 10 yrs. in the navy and participating at Desert Storm. I have three kids, 27,7, and 3. After all these years I still stay in touch with my best friend Guy McAllister class of 74 who lives in Tampa, FL.

Captain Richard V. Stockton retired from the U. S. Navy on June 24th and is retiring with his family to Newcastle, OK.

Beverly Cashwell Perdue is married and just celebrated her 24^th wedding anniversary.  She has two sons, Larry and Brian.  Larry is 22 and Brian is 20. She is an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics and also an office manager for two companies in the manufactured housing business.  She lives in Greensboro, NC.

DENISE RIDDICK HAS BEEN MARRIED TO ALTON JONES(76) FOR 28 YEARS THEY HAVE THREE DAUGHTERS; ALNEITA ,LATONYA & DESIREE. THEY JUST MOVED BACK TO VA LAST YEAR  AFTER ALTON RETIRED FROM THE U.S.ARMY. THEY LIVE IN DOMINION LAKES AREA OF CHESAPEAKE.

Larry Comer lives in Delaware, Ohio with his 3 daughters ages 16, 13 and 9. He works at a Japanese Import/Export Company. Shipping/Receiving Electronics for Factory Automation (Robotics) in Columbus, Ohio.

Jimmy Bailey is teaching Phys.Ed. & Health, coach varsity baseball and golf at Killian Hill Christian School in Lilburn, Ga.(15 years) He lives in Grayson, Ga. & is married to Linda Rice from Richmond VA for 18 years. They have 2 sons, ages 15 and 9.
