I have been appointed engineer for the Brain imaging center for the University of Missouri to do research on Autism and Alzheimer. We will be using functional imaging of the brain using fMri.

Still alive and kicking! (just not as high!) Now living in the Great Bridge section in Chesapeake Colony. Married now to a Oscar Smith girl (I know, I'm sorry) Darleen, for 21 years. Have two great kids from this union, Dennis (20), who is a 2005 grad of Great Bridge High School and is currently in his third year at O.D.U. and preparing for law school and Jessie (19) who is my life's blood who is in the cross-cat class at Hickory Middle School. Jessie was born with Down Syndrome and has been the biggest joy in my life. Have two other children with Sheila Williams. Dawn (31) and husband Matt live in Suffolk with their two children, Quade and Camden, and Adam (27) resides in Norfolk. After school, I joined the fire dept. and stayed for 3 yrs. until I joined the Portsmouth Police Dept. I stayed there for 6 yrs, 4 of which I was assigned to the motorcycle squad. Got tired of the "Big City" and went to Suffolk Police for a yr. Thought I would die of boredom, so I came back home to Chesapeake and joined the police dept. here. After 5 yrs., I decided that I was not a very good politician, and started my own business in trucking. Forced to close business this past November when I was injured on the job and the economy turned downward. I have moved to Limestone TN to take care of my father. The girls are all still here in Chesapeake and I come home to visit about every 8 weeks. My New hobbie is motorcycles! Deep Creek will always be HOME and Lord willing I will return HOME to Deep Creek......until then God Bless...

Just thought I'd say my few words in here....Hello all...I'm still around!!! Residing in Hickory, been married for 30 years to wife Jean. Have two children, Josh 24 & Angela 22 both graduated from Hickory. working for the Government for 30 years. Its great to have a web site where all can contact all. I'm still trudging through this Government job along with numerous of my Hornet Ex-classmates. I'm still consumed in Baseball, fancy that, and funny enough I'm the Deep Creek JV assistant coach. A volunteer but again loving it. My wife (Jean) is working for The Union Mission helping her Mom and Dad with numerous needy assignments and duties. Josh graduated from Hickory where he played Baseball for four years, fancy that too, and then went on to get his degree in Kenesiotherapy from Norfolk State where he wants to eventually get his Dr. degree. Oh and by the way...he got a athletic scholarship where he played four years at a Div.1 level. Angela has her technical license as an Esthetician. All healthy and pumping some purple through out veins. Hope to hear form some of you.

Peggy Lease married to Darold Kemp for 32yrs. with 3 grown children. Michele 31 who assistant manager at 7-11 in Greenbriar Jennifer 29 who will graduate from Law school in May, and is the mother of our pride and joy, Zachery. Chuck 27 is a nuclear ? at the shipyard, and is the father of our precious angel, Meryn. Darold is still apprenticeship training director for operating engineers, 33yrs. in the union, and I'm a nursing supervisor at a nursing home in Windsor. We live in Carrsville, still on 20 acres. I now live in Grand Junction, Colorado. I have a son Brandon who is married and has a 2 year old and another due any day, he is stationed at McGuire AFB, NJ. I have a daughter Michelle who has an 8 year old, they live here in Co. My brother turned me on to the site, I am so glad he did. For 15 years I worked for the State of Colorado, I worked with the mentally disabled. I then was in a life changing auto accident. I am now a want to be artist… I paint, do sculpture and pottery on the wheel. I am also learning to fly fish, I have been attending and taking classes at the FFF Conclave now for 3 years. I love the Rocky Mountains but still yearn for the Ocean and feeling the sand between my toes. I would sure like to email with some of my old classmates. Thank You,

Hi All, Just wanted to say hi and let you know a little about my life since school. Right after graduating I joined the Air Force for four years and practically saw the world, including a little of Viet Nam. I played and was the lead singer in a band called The Virginia Wranglers for the next 18 years. I gave that up when I asked Christ into my life and now I am head sound engineer for Faith Alive Ministries on Shell Road in Deep Creek. I also work for Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Nuclear electrician. Been there 27 years. I am married to the love of my life, Deborah, who I dated while working at Krispy Kreme. We have four beautiful children, and four Grand children. We live in mom and dad's old house at the end of Happy Acres Rd. I am feeling great and looking forward to retiring some day. God Bless!

Susan Sonney married Mike Miller (co71) in 1971. They shared an amazing life together with their daughters until Mike passed away in March of 2002.

I moved from Deep Creek to Suffolk (just outside of Driver) in 1987. I have been married to Steve Wright, (Old Dominion class of '75, I graduated from ODU in '76) for 28 years. We have four children, Stephen (22), Thomas (18), Elizabeth (16), and Sarah (14). Life continues to have surprises for me around each corner and hidden joys that are found when I remember to slow down and let them reveal themselves to me. As I get older, it will get easier for these pleasures to show themselves, but I hope I will remember how to appreciate them. One of the pleasures has been to "walk" through this web site and see the names of friends from long ago. I hope all are enjoying what life has offered to them and remember that there is still a lot of life ahead of us. Enjoy the adventure!
