THE RAPIER'S

On July 5, 2003, all seven of us gathered together to celebrate our youngest sister, Millie's, "fiftieth birthday". Yep, our baby sister is "50", but doesn't look a day over 39. Tommy and Linda Rapier were terrific hosts for the Birthday pool party at their home on Old Mill Road. Here we are:

Dana Rhys "Nick" Nicholson, 60, of Warrenton, died Oct. 16 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born in Portsmouth, Va., on July 11, 1946, to Arthur George Nicholson and Jane Campen Nicholson, who preceded him in death. Mr. Nicholson had retired from the U.S. government after 30 years of service. He was an equipment specialist at Vint Hill. Recently, he was employed at the Warrenton office of the DMV. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rose B. Nicholson; a daughter, Lisa Dudley; and three grandchildren, all of Warrenton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton OH 44720; or to the Fauquier County SPCA, PO Box 733, Warrenton VA 20188.
